Saint Simons Christian School partners with the Jekyll Island Authority to sponsor the 15th annual Under the Oaks Run- 13.1 Half Marathon, 10k and 5k to be held on Columbus Day weekend on the beautiful and scenic Jekyll Island, GA. On Saturday, October 11th, Half Marathon participants will take a route along a beautiful stretch of the Atlantic Ocean, under the majestic Live Oak trees in the historic Millionaires Village, and then along the marsh and riverfront of the beautiful Golden Isles. Also on Saturday, October 11th, 10k participants will take a route which also travels along the Atlantic Ocean and then turns toward the historic Millionaires Village and then on to the river front. The 5k will also take place on Saturday, October 11th. The race route will take you down tree canopied bike paths.
We welcome runners to a course that goes from the beaches to the marsh and under the majestic oaks of Jekyll Island!

IF OUR EVENT IS CANCELLED DUE TO EVENTS/CONDITIONS OUT OF OUR CONTROL, THEN ALL RUNNERS WILL BE SWITCHED TO VIRTUAL REGISTRATION AND PACKETS WILL BE MAILED OUT TO ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS.
WE CANNOT DEFER REGISTRATIONS TO A FUTURE YEAR. HOWEVER, YOU MAY TRANSFER YOUR REGISTRATION TO ANOTHER RUNNER AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
IF YOU FIND OUT THAT YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND AFTER YOU REGISTERED, WE WILL MAIL YOUR PACKET TO YOU FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF $15.00(5k/10k) and $25.00(half marathon). YOU WILL NEED TO SEND US A MESSAGE AND LET US KNOW YOU WILL NOT BE ATTENDING AND THEN REQUEST THAT YOUR PACKAGE BE MAILED TO YOU.
